Ross Taylor was the first person in the world to road race a motorcycle fitted with a CLAKE combined CLutch And braKE system when he competed in the annual TERRA Territory Challenge in Darwin on the 8th and 9th of August.
Despite being down on power and outright speed, Ross, aboard a Morrawaki MDH250 finished a very creditable 2nd position after some close battles for 1st position in the GP125 class.
After the race Ross said "the CLAKE eliminated rear wheel chatter which had plagued the bike previously, enabled me to position my body exactly where I wanted it while still having full control over clutch and brake, and allowed me to brake a lot later into turns, also I holeshot every race. For the first time since racing any roadbike I felt completely in control and confident in every corner entry."
